WOWOWOW is a satellite broadcasting service that delivers a variety of video and music content, but not a few people may think that its cancellation procedure seems troublesome. Please log in with the web account of the person who applied for the service. You cannot use your family member's web account.
Select "Apply for cancellation" at the bottom of the screen when "About the web cancellation procedure" is displayed.
Select the B-CAS card (or ACAS chip) you wish to cancel and proceed to "Next. You will be required to fill out a questionnaire here.
Confirm the information you have entered, scroll to the bottom of the screen, and select "Apply for Cancellation.
This completes the cancellation process.
If you have subscribed to WOWOW via distribution
The cancellation will be completed on the last day of the month in which you have also completed the cancellation procedure.
Go to the screen for confirming or changing your subscription details, and log in with your web account and password.
Please log in with the web account of the person who applied for the service.
Select "Contract Status" > "Cancel".
Confirm the cancellation details and select "Cancel".
This completes the cancellation procedure.
You will receive an email confirming the completion of the cancellation, so be sure to check the contents carefully.
Canceling WOWOW by phone
If you are subscribing via broadcasting, you can also call the Customer Center to complete the procedure.

Follow the voice guidance and select "5: Cancel" to proceed.
However, there is a theory that you may receive a sales call at a later date if you cancel by phone, so be careful if you are concerned about this.
Points to keep in mind when canceling WOWOW
Charges are not prorated.
WOWOW is a month-to-month contract and is not prorated.
Except during the free trial period, you can watch programs until 24:00 on the last day of the month, no matter when you cancel your subscription, whether it is at the beginning, middle, or end of the month.
For example, whether you first registered on the 1st or 15th of the month, you will be able to watch until the 31st of the month.
However, the free trial period will stop on the day after the cancellation procedure is completed.
Only the free trial period cannot be used if it is via broadcast.
If you subscribe to WOWOW via broadcasting, you can use the one-month free service, but in return, you cannot cancel the subscription within the period or immediately after it ends. This means you will be charged for at least one month. For example, if you register on April 1 and cancel on April 17, the earliest you can cancel is May 31 of the following month.

When the free trial via distribution ends
